2016 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

EPRI completed a full corporate social responsibility assessment in 2015 culminating in release of its first Corporate Social Responsibility report. The report (and companion video) provides a comprehensive look at EPRI's social responsibility culture and actions around four focus areas: community, employees, operations, and research.

Power Delivery and Utilization - Transmission

Power Delivery & Utilization’s Transmission group focuses on technology and research to enhance the safety, reliability, and resiliency of the bulk power delivery system, connecting load centers and bulk generating stations.

Research Areas

Grid Operations & Planning

Drive forward methods and tools to help improve real-time situation awareness, wide area protection, and restoration response to extreme events as well as manage risks while facing short-term and long-term uncertainties.

Transmission & Substations

Provide methods and tools to enhance the performance of transmission lines and substations, extend equipment life to defer capital expenditures, and control maintenance costs. Areas of research include overhead and underground transmission lines and substations components: conductors, cables, structures, transformers, sensors, robotics, physical security, asset management, insulation coordination and their interrelated nature.
